This may be some of the best onion gravy you ever try! This version was made with our home made beef stock, which we used later to make French onion soup, which we used later to make gravy. Enjoy!
The most amazing Beef Onion Gravy
a hot pan on high heat containing fond from frying a pork chop or steak (browned, not blackened)
1 cup french onion soup
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp ajinomoto
1 tblsp corn starch + water to make a slurry
salt to taste
Add French onion soup to hot pan and scrape all bits off the bottom and sides. Add pepper, ajinomoto, and reduce by one half. Add salt to taste. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. While stirring, add corn starch slurry and mix well. Serve over meat or potatoes.
